Adele SLAMMED over extortionate price of Las Vegas tour vinyl: ‘Girl we are not rich!’

Adele is receiving backlash over the extortionate price of her limited edition vinyl box set, featuring the entire live setlist from her Las Vegas residency.

Despite also including a pH๏τo book and some confetti from the show as part of the purchase, fans were distraught to learn the box set cost a whopping $349.

Although many were looking forward to buying the vinyl box set, recorded over her 100-date residency at the historic Colosseum in Caesars Palace, the majority could not justify the hefty price tag.

One even tweeted that it ‘was cheaper’ for them to fly to Munich ‘to see’ the superstar ‘live than this vinyl.’

Another marveled at ‘the price being higher than [Taylor Swift’s] Eras Tour VIP tickets.’

‘Now Adele [sobbing emoji] miss ma’am. $350 in this economy? [two more sobbing emojis].’

‘To commemorate the ending of my residency in Las Vegas, I’m making a limited edition vinyl box set featuring the entire live setlist, a pH๏τo book, and even confetti from the show,’ she wrote on X.

Additionally, she revealed that she also released a new card game and holiday exclusives, including an ornament, on her website.

Adele has an estimated net worth of $220 million, which comes from her concerts, music sales and streaming royalties as well as merchandise and investments.

This week, she wrapped her two-year Las Vegas residency.

During her last show, she addressed speculation that she would be retiring as she admitted that she wasn’t sure when she would next release new music or tour.

‘I just dunno when I want to next come on stage,’ she confessed. ‘And it’s time to move on.’

The star also gave a nod to her family, son Angelo, and fiancée Rich Paul in her tear-jerking speech.

At the end of her performance, Adele recalled the start of her stint in Sin City as ‘f****** rocky’ and described 2022, which saw her cancel gigs less than 24 hours before the first show, as the ‘worst year of her life’.

Her entire 24-date residency was scrapped at the 11th hour after claims that half her team had Covid and they ‘ran out of time’ for the show to be ready.

On stage on Saturday night, Adele chugged a glᴀss of wine and told the huge audience of 5,000 fans, in a clip shared to X: ‘I am so sad that this residency is over and I am so glad that it happened I really, really am.

‘It got off to such a f****** rocky rocky way, it was one of the worst years of my life. I was being punched around, it was horrible and I was told it was career suicide and Vegas would never forgive me for [cancelling] so last minute.’

Choking back tears she continued: ‘But we were talking as a team team earlier, That’s when I first started crying, had I done that show I cancelled, I certainly wouldn’t be standing her tonight doing my 100 show here.’

She went on: ‘If something doesn’t feel right to you, in anything, don’t f****** do it it doesn’t matter what, and I am talking about gut instinct, if something doesn’t feel right don’t do it.’

‘I am bursting with pride and I am so proud of myself and so proud of my team, the band, my fans I’m so thankful to Vegas for giving me that second chance.’

Following her speech she made her way into the audience where she embraced Rich, 43, after finally confirming their engagement in August, and her son, whom she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki, 50.

Back in 2022 fans paying between $85 and $12,000 for a ticket – or up to $30,000 on the black market – had already travelled to Las Vegas from all over the world including the UK for the opening gig.

But with just 24 hours to go the British star cancelled her entire 24-night run, which was due to make her $685,000 (£500,000) per performance before merchandising – a Vegas record.

‘Weekends With Adele’ was due to run through April in Las Vegas, with all available tickets sold out. In an Instagram post, a visibly upset Adele said: ‘I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready’, saying they ‘ran out of time’.

‘We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. Half my crew and team are [ill] with Covid and still are, and it’s been impossible to finish the show.

She went on: ‘I’m gutted — I’m sorry it’s so last minute, we’ve been awake for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we’ve run out of time,’ she continued, as her voice started to break. ‘I’m so upset and I’m really embarrᴀssed and so sorry to everyone that traveled to get [to the show]. I’m really, really sorry.’
