Julianne Moore, 62, flaunts her flawless complexion as she goes make-up free in New York City

Julianne Moore showed off her flawless complexion on a make-up free stroll in NYC on Tuesday.

The actress, 62, who is co-starring with Tilda Swinton in The Room Next Door, bundled up in a gray hooded jacket against the chilly morning temperatures in the Big Apple.

The Oscar-winner wore her signature red locks down with a baseball cap.

She sipped on a green smoothie during a rare moment of downtime amid her hectic schedule.

The actress, who could receive multiple nominations for her work in The Room Next Door as a woman who is asked to help a friend navigate her way through stage three cancer, spoke about receiving her first Academy Award nomination recently with Elle magazine. 

Her first nod was for 1998 for her role in Boogie Nights and oldest child, Caleb, who will turn 27 soon, had just been born.

She shares Caleb and younger sister Liv, 22, with husband, director Bart Freundlich, 54.   

‘It was an interesting time in my life because I was so busy, you know, with the baby and my life,’ she said.

‘I had a treadmill in my garage and I went into my garage and I ran on the treadmill and then boom, the nomination came in and I was like “I just got nominated for an Oscar. Like, I can’t believe it.”‘ 

‘It was just really, really shocking,’ she explained. 

She credited the film Safe with influencing the trajectory of her career.  The former soap opera actress who ‘spent the first decade of my career working primarily in television and doing off-Broadway and fringy things’ when she was cast in the Todd Haynes drama as a woman whose life is upended when she develops multiple chemical sensitivity.

Moore said the feature ‘changed the way I wanted to work. It changed the way people perceived me and it really was the beginning of my film career.’

The тιтian-haired beauty said when other women see her on screen, she hopes they ‘see themselves.’

Moore is returning to television in the Netflix series Sirens. The show is based on Molly Smith Metzler's 2011 play, Elemeno Pea, and co-stars Kevin Bacon and Meghann Fahy, and is expected to debut on the streamer in 2025 (Pictured in Los Angeles November 17)

‘I think we go to the movies to see ourselves reflected, to see our own stories, to kind of receive validation for our own human frailties and when we see that, when we recognize ourselves in a character, we feel known… at least, that’s what it is for me. ‘ 

The multi-talented actress will showcase her musical skills in the upcoming unтιтled musical comedy with Jesse Eisenberg. 

The Mary and George star is returning to television again in the Netflix series Sirens.
