Lisa Vanderpump is giving the new cast of Vanderpump Rules a very warm welcome.
“The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,” Vanderpump, 64, said in a statement on Tuesday, November 26. “I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all.”
The hospitality mogu lnoted she was excited to usher in the show’s successors, adding, “In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.”
Vanderpump’s statement came after Bravo confirmed that Vanderpump Rules is returning for season 12 — but with an entirely new cast. The update followed months of uncertainty about the hit show’s future following a filming pause, a cheating scandal and a cast divide.
The Vanderpump Rules franchise initially started as a spinoff of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which Vanderpump starred on from 2010 to 2019. From there, Vanderpump Rules became its own cultural phenomenon as the restaurateur expanded her TV universe with Vanderpump Villa, Vanderpump Dogs and Overserved With Lisa Vanderpump.
Vanderpump isn’t the only cast member who reacted to the surprising news about season 12. Lala Kent, who joined Vanderpump Rules during season 4, reflected on her highs and lows with the Bravo show.

“Where to begin. I was a young girl from Salt Lake City who made her way to L.A. I would introduce myself as Lauren, but because my childhood best friend referred to me as Lala, my nickname quickly stuck. Sur was a place that became home. I found myself not only sipping on vodka sodas there, but behind a hostess stand,” she wrote via Instagram on Tuesday. “It still to this day is the most intimidating job I’ve ever had.”
Kent, 34, admitted she has “mixed feelings” about the shakeup.
“It’s no secret I do not like change. This is the exception. I want to say thank you for rocking with us for so many years. This show changed my whole life,” she continued. “I’m unbelievably grateful for every moment. I’m unbelievably grateful for Bravo, for NBCU, for our crew, the entire cast, and most importantly all of you. We rocked this bitch until the wheels fell off 💃.”
