I’m A Celeb’s Maura Higgins screams in terror and fights back tears as she faces her fears in an explosive first look at the next Bushtucker Trial with Jane Moore.

On Tuesday night’s show, Love Island star Maura, 34, and Loose Women panellist Jane, 62, take part in the latest trial – Fright at the End of the Tunnel.

The task will see the pair put their communication skills to the test as they try to navigate a complex series of pipelines full of creepy crawlies.

And that’s not all, while one of the celebrities will have to crawl on their hands on knees through one tunnel, the other star will have to swim underwater.

The pair will then have to complete word code challenges to crack open various locks to secure the stars for their camp mates.

In a sneak peak at the Bushtucker Trial, Maura shrieks in terror as she gets up close and personal with spiders inside a cramped tunnel.

‘Spiders! Jane, I don’t know if I can do it. There’s an awful amount of spiders,’ the Irish influencer squeals. 

Host Declan Donnelly chimes in with some words of support, saying: ‘Just take it nice and easy Maura. Just keep breathing.’

To which Maura replied: ‘Oh my God. No, no, no, no. I can’t!’

Prompting some sterner advice from Ant McPartlin, who says: ‘Maura, for Jane to move on, you have to move on. It’s as simple as that.’

As she curls up in a ball and covers her face, Jane is seen trapped underwater in a giant tank.

Maura and Reverend Richard Coles finally arrived in the main camp on Saturday, but were quick to cause disagreements over sleeping arrangements.

The television personality and priest, 62, made their entrance as late arrivals during Thursday night’s episode.

But rather than joining the other campmates in the main camp, they had a surprise in store, as they were dumped in the Jungle Junkyard – a basic camp that contains overgrown greenery, rusty corrugated metal and zero luxury.

However, it was not all as it seemed as the Jungle Junkyard car came down to reveal a luxurious double bed, a container revealed a hidden large sofa, and a cargo box opened with a large bathtub with bubbles, bath salts and H๏τ water.

But as they had now finished the final stage of the mission to win portions for the junk food buffet, it was finally time for Maura and Richard to enter the main camp, making it a full house.

Finding there was a new bed and hammock in camp as a result of the new additions, Danny seized his opportunity to take a camp bed, having slept the previous nights in the jungle on a hammock.

Discussing his choice to move, Jane agreed saying: ‘It’s Lord of The Flies, if you’re newcomers you get the worst beds.’

When Richard found out he had been left with a hammock, Barry was keen to know how he’d fare. Richard answered: ‘I don’t know, getting in and out of it might be comedy.’

Later, Maura said of Richard: ‘I just feel bad for him, he’s not got a good back.’

Alan agreed, saying: ‘I don’t think he should be in a hammock to be honest, I said before, he’s 62 and he might want to but I don’t think he should be in a hammock.’

However, as camp leader, Alan is not permitted to give up his bed. Oti later told Jane she would be willing to swap with Richard, and give up her camp bed.

Jane replied and pointed at Dean: ‘He should go in it.’

It comes after I’m A Celeb viewers branded Maura and Reverend Richard an ‘iconic duo’ as they gush that they’re already ‘obsessed’ with the ‘genius’ pairing.

Earlier this year it was announced Dean would be taking over the BBC Radio 1 Early Breakfast Show, after previously fronting the afternoon slot.

Jane is best known as a panellist and anchor of Loose Women
