Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson leaves fans in tears as he shares heartwarming video meeting Make-A-Wish children alongside his daughters Tiana and Jasmine

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson left fans in tears after sharing an emotional video with Make A Wish America, where he flew children out to Hawaii as special guests to the  Moana 2 world premiere.

The actor, 52, who voices Maui in the franchise and is playing the character in the live-action remake, also took his daughters Tiana, six, and Jasmine, eight, along for the heartwarming day.

He shared a video of the experience with his 395 million Instagram followers on Monday and gushed that it’s the ‘best part of fame’.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a nonprofit organisation that helps fulfill the wishes of seriously ill children in the United States.

In the clip, The Rock makes his way to the meet and greet while holding hands with his two little girls and explains to them: ‘These are our Make-A-Wish kids.’

Tiana asked: ‘And they’re supposed to see you?,’ before they made their way outside to meet the group.

The tear-jerking video saw the actor and his children talk to the youngsters and hear from their parents on how special the day is to them.

The Rock gave out hugs and played games like rock paper scissors and arm-wrestling with the kids, while introducing them to his daughters.

One parent of a 15-year-old called Patrick gushed: ‘I’m really happy for Patrick to have this opportunity. It means a lot because during that time when he was going through a difficult time, it was an inspiration that The Rock existed.

‘I don’t know if it’s the strength, determination, plus he was humorous, and I think it was a good thing because he was going through some tough stuff.’

Another parent added: ‘It’s great, it’s awesome that Make-A-Wish did this and The Rock took out his time to do it.

One child even made a handmade gift for the star and handed him a replica of his Moana character Maui’s hook made out of Clay.

‘I love this,’ the actor gushed, ‘You mind if I wear it now? Thank you, man.’

He went on to tell another little girl: ‘I love your hair,’ and asked his daughters: ‘Isn’t her hair cool?’

Meanwhile, the actor told another little boy: ”You inspire everybody around you, including me.’

Following the meet and greet, the Make-A-Wish children and their families got to accompany the A-Lister to the worldwide premiere of Moana on Thursday.

Touching scenes saw The Rock posing with them as they took it in turns to place a lei around his neck.

He wrote in the caption:  ‘I do my best to never get emotional in these moments, but I do get very emo watching this stuff back.

‘Had the honor, once again to grant wishes from @makeawishamerica – and this time was extra special in that my two little tornados, Jazzy & Tia wanted to join me in meeting these special kids.

‘We flew these kids & the families out to Hawaii as my special guests to our MOANA 2 world premiere.’

He continued: ‘What a beautiful day meeting these kids. Their strength and resilience inspires EVERYONE around them – including me.

‘To all their moms, dads & siblings who I met – I feel it in every hug and handshake. I know. Stay strong. Shout to my amazing partners at Make-A-Wish. Best part of fame and God bless you all.’

Fans wrote in the comments: ‘Im not crying I just have one rock in my eyes.’

‘The way you treat everyone you meet with kindness is just so special Dwayne! Can you please promise to never change the way you treat people?’

‘I cried the entire time watching this. There’s something about his soul and how it makes others feel. He’s a rare one!’

‘Awwww. My heart is bursting for those kids.’

‘I’m not crying, you’re crying.’

‘When you think you can’t love what The Rock stands for any more than you do… and then he keeps doing these beautiful acts of kindness.’

It comes after the star posed for a rare family snap as he attended the world premiere of Moana 2 in Hawaii on Thursday.

He joined wife Lauren Hashian, 40, their daughters Jasmine, eight, and Tiana, six, and his mom Ata Johnson, 76, on the red carpet.

The ex-wrestler cut a stylish figure in a mint green suit and a leaf necklace – paired with tinted shades as he joined his loved ones.

The Rock’s eldest daughter Simone Garcia Johnson, 23, also posed with her dad at the premiere – with the film set for release on November 27.

Garcia – whose mom is Dany Garcia – has followed her father into the wrestling world as Ava Raine.

#MOANALiveAction is scheduled to premiere in theaters July 10, 2026.

Thomas Kail will be directing the live-action version, and famed Broadway star Lin Manuel Miranda is doing the music for the movie.

Kail is working from a screenplay by Jared Bush, who served as the writer of the fully animated Moana (2016), which went on to become a smash hit with fans, grossing $687.2 million while working with a $150-175 million budget.

In Moana, the тιтle character sets sail to seek Maui in order to save her island from ecological disaster.

She convinces him to accompany her on her voyage to recover his magical fish hook and restore the heart stone that he stole from the goddess Te Fiti.

Moana is a pᴀssion project of sorts for The Rock, considering he has Samoan citizenship due to his mother being Samoan, according to IMDb.

‘This story is my culture, and this story is emblematic of our people’s grace and warrior strength. I wear this culture proudly on my skin and in my soul,’ he said of Moana.

‘There is no better world for us to honor the story of our people, our pᴀssion and our purpose than through the realm of music and dance, which is at the core of who we are as Polynesian people.’
