Prince Andrew is finding comfort in visits from his children and grandchildren after recent reports that his brother King Charles III cut him off financially.
Andrew, 64, has been spotted helping his three-year-old granddaughter, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi, learn to ride horses, Hello! reported on Sunday, November 24. The outlet noted that Sienna’s mother, Princess Beatrice, and aunt Princess Eugenie have been taking turns spending weekends with their father Andrew.
The sisters have been visiting Andrew more often than they have in recent years, Hello! reported, adding that Beatrice and Eugenie feel protective of their father. Beatrice, 36, who shares Sienna with husband Edorado Mapelli Mozzi, is currently pregnant with baby No. 2 while Eugenie, 34, shares sons August, 3, and Ernest, 17 months, with husband Jack Brooksbank.

Andrew was stripped of his royal тιтles in 2019 due to his connection to late billionaire and convicted Sєx trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. That same year, a woman named Virginia Giuffre accused the prince of Sєxual misconduct. She went on to sue him for an alleged Sєxual ᴀssault, and the case was settled out of court. Andrew has denied the allegations.
While he no longer has any royal duties, Andrew continues to reside at Royal Lodge, which is part of the Crown Estate. A source exclusively shared in the latest issue of Us Weekly that Andrew has “no intention” of leaving the residence despite reports that Charles, 76, wants him out.
Royal expert Robert Hardman wrote in his biography Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story, which hit shelves earlier this month, that Charles recently revoked Andrew’s yearly $1.3 million personal allowance and laid off his personal security detail.
“It’s been a hard few months for Andrew,” a second source exclusively shares in the new issue of Us, noting that his “anxiety is through the roof” and his family is “really worried about him.”
The insider added that the disgraced royal is fearful that he and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who still lives at Royal Lodge as well, will have to leave the 31-room residence.
“Right now, it’s a sanctuary for him to be away from the world and try and get himself [feeling better],” the source said.
Us reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment at the time.
Between Andrew’s ongoing crisis and Charles and Princess Kate Middleton’s respective cancer battles, it’s been a challenging year for the royal family. Earlier this month, Prince William candidly admitted that “dreadful” 2024 has “probably been the hardest” of his life during an interview from Cape Town, South Africa, at the EarthsH๏τ Prize Event.

“Trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult,” said William, 42, who is next in line for the crown. “I’m so proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. It’s been brutal.”
Buckingham Palace announced Charles’ cancer diagnosis in February. One month later, Kate, 42, who has been married to William since 2011, revealed that she had been undergoing chemotherapy for a cancer diagnosis.
Charles’ treatments are still ongoing, but Kate announced in September that she had completed chemotherapy and is doing everything she can to “stay cancer free.”
