In the snap, the Wicked star still had brown hair, something many of her fans may have forgotten now that she’s been blonde to play Glinda for so long.
Ariana looked obviously younger and fresher in the nearly makeup-free pH๏τo but she also looked happy, with her dimple making a showing.
She captioned the post: ‘Sept 2022, first crown fitting ♡ made of laser cut paper. i love you @paultazewell,’ and tagged the crown’s designer.
The pop star looked relaxed in the pH๏τo as she was just embarking on the long shoot for two movies.
Fans gushed over her in the comments with one in particular, @grandeinheels, writing: ‘brown hair? who’s this!!! beautiful.’

Elsewhere in the Instagram comments section, the official Wicked and Wicked Soundtrack accounts echoed approval of the pH๏τo while others remarked on her beauty and the astonishment that the crown in the picture was made of paper.
On X (formerly Twitter), one fan remarked: ‘That hair color suit her so much my god,’ while someone else had the exact opposite reaction: ‘OH MOTHER I HOPE SHE NEVER GOES BACK TO BRUNETTE.’

‘She looks so stunning with without makeup,’ another fan remarked.
Meanwhile, Ariana is garnering Oscar buzz for her performance in the long awaited musical.
The re-telling of Glinda and Elphaba’s (played by Cynthia Erivo) absolutely dominated the box office on its opening weekend but before that Variety predicted that Ariana will not only be nominated for an Academy Award, but she will win it.
‘As Glinda, Grande brings charm and wit to a character known for her bubbly exterior and hidden depth. The 31-year-old pop star commands each of Glinda’s signature numbers, including a delightful rendition of Popular,’ the outlet reported.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t her singing that the outlet believes was the best part of her performance. It was her comedic timing and zippy one liners.

Nominations for the 2025 Oscars will be announced on January 17, 2025.
While that day is still two months away and the heavy hitting films and roles are just coming out, it is definitely not too early for critics to pinpoint real contenders and Grande is one of them.
She is expected to compete in the category with Zoe Saldana for her role in Emilia Pérez, Isabella Rossellini for Conclave, Saoirise Ronan for Blitz and Monica Barbaro for A Complete Unknown.
And Ariana isn’t the only Academy Award nominee or winner from Wicked that Variety is predicting.
The Hollywood trade paper is also predicting the movie will bring home the coveted gold statuette for Production Design andCostume Design, and also have nominations for Best Actress for Cynthia and Best Director for Jon M. Chu.
