The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans can expect some tension between Dorit and PK Kemsley as they navigate their separation during season 14.

“Things don’t stay amicable between PK and I, and it was a big shock to me,” Dorit, 48, teased to Us Weekly exclusively while promoting RHOBH. “Don’t forget, we had just separated when I filmed the show. Now here we are, some months later.”

She added, “You definitely will see that journey in the season, and that will give you very good insight as to what we’re dealing with.”

Dorit did offer a positive update, telling Us that she and PK, 57, have been focusing on “communication” which allowed them to reach a more “amicable” place in their estranged relationship.

Dorit and PK posted a joint statement via Instagram in May, announcing their separation after nine years of marriage. Details of their breakup were shown during the RHOBH season 14 premiere, which aired on Tuesday, November 19. (Dorit and PK share kids Jagger, 10, and Phoenix, 8, and revealed during the episode that they are unaware of the separation.)

Dorit told Us that she and PK have not discussed a divorce just yet, even though they are still separated.

“We’re navigating this period,” she said. “I just really hope that, regardless of where we go — I think if we end up getting back together — that there’s a lot of work that needs to be done. You don’t reach this place and want to just jump back into the saddle without having done the work that you know is necessary to enjoy the marriage and have the communication that you really need.”

Dorit does “think it’s possible” that she and PK can get back together.

“I think you need both people to want it,” she continued. “I think sometimes having the time apart too, it can be healthy. It can also give us a chance to step back and look at our own positions and reflect, and also do some work on ourselves individually so that we can bring a better version of ourselves to the marriage.”

During the RHOBH season 14 premiere, Dorit shared that the separation was PK’s idea. He also weighed in on the reason while sitting down with Kyle Richards’ estranged husband, his close friend Mauricio Umansky.

“I got sober. I got clear, and I realized that we were just taking bites out of each other the whole f—ing time,” PK admitted. “I had a lot of resentment. Dorit isn’t the most able to listen, she’s not.”

Dorit told Us that she was “a little taken aback” by his suggestion to separate at first.

“Then, I very quickly realized, I thought, I think this might end up being for the best,” she said.
