Oasis fans are going wild over a ‘mᴀssive announcement’ that was set to be revealed on Monday – however, some people think they’ve already worked it out and are disappointed with the ‘let down’. 

Speaking on air on Friday, Radio X DJ Dan O’Connell teased: ‘I got a message from very important people at Radio X. 

‘They told me to make sure I mention that on Monday morning Chris Moyles has something big for Oasis fans. If that is you there is something mᴀssive happening.’

The cryptic message has quickly circulated on social media and fans all over the world have been guessing what it could be – with some hoping for a new album or single.

Speculating on X, fans of Liam and Noel Gallagher wrote: ‘Breaking News. Oasis are set to release some big news next Monday. Rumor has it that it could be the announcement of a new album.’

‘Oasis announcement on radio x is not a ticket giveaway it’s a featuring with kneecap TRUST.’

However, Radio X took to social media on Sunday evening to share the news of a ticket giveaway – and fans think this could be the announcement.

The X account for the radio station wrote: ‘BIBLICAL. We’re giving one lucky winner the chance to win a pair of Oasis tickets for Wembley Stadium on Wednesday 30th July.

‘Tune into The @ChrisMoyles Show tomorrow morning from 6:30am to find out how you could be in with the chance of winning.’

Realising the ‘mᴀssive news’ could just be that two tickets are being handed out, fans have dubbed it the ‘worst announcement’.

Following the post, they wrote on X: ‘This is not an announcement…this is a compeтιтion…like many have been done on the radio…this time it is about Oasis…YES and? someone will get it and that’s it.’

‘Wow, talk about the most underwhelming announcement you could possibly make. Absolute s****.’ 

‘The big oasis announcement was Chris moyles giving away two tickets at 6.30 in the morning. Haven’t been this disappointed since I got an Alan shearer figurine in a packet of sugar puffs, picked him up and his legs fell off.’

An insider close to the band seemed to confirm by telling The Mirror: ‘The rumour got a life of its own and in reality you are looking at something like prizes and some kind of big Oasis giveaway or compeтιтion. 

‘It is still something to celebrate but it is not the big announcement some fans were hoping for.’

However, it does come after Liam left fans buzzing with excitement after hinting at a ‘mᴀssive announcement last week.

The Mancunian singer, 52, known for his outspoken personality and enigmatic posts, took to social media to tease his followers, leaving them scrambling for answers.

Liam tweeted: ‘Mᴀssive announcement incoming,’ sparking a frenzy of speculation online weeks after the announcement that Oasis would be reuniting.

Fans quickly began to guess the possibilities, from new tour dates to surprise appearances or special performances.

One popular theory was a cheeky nod to Blur – Oasis’s Britpop rivals in the 90s – potentially being announced as the support act for the tour.

Fans joked: ‘Blur opening act?’…’collab with gorillaz?’…’Albarn has joined Oasis?’

Some, however, expressed concerns that Liam might have already fallen out with Noel, potentially jeopardising the reunion tour.

However less than 10 minutes later, the ever-playful star posted: ‘IM THE F**KNG B****X CMON.’

Whether this was the ‘mᴀssive announcement’ or just a tease remains unclear, but fans were quick to react.

One quipped ‘Oh yeah we knew that already’ whilst others called him a ‘criminal tease.’
