Gardner Minshew, the starting quarterback of the Las Vegas Raiders, exited to the locker room with an injury late in the fourth quarter while attempting to lead his team to a comeback victory.

It was later learned that the sixth-year veteran quarterback is done for the season with a broken collarbone injury, according to NFL Network.

Minshew was on the receiving end of a hard hit with around 2:25 left in the game as the Raiders were faced with 3rd and 13 while trailing 26-19.

Minshew was slow to get up, and when he eventually did, he went to the locker room and was replaced by former Atlanta Falcons starter Desmond Ridder, who was signed by Vegas off the Arizona Cardinals practice squad last month.

Earlier this season — and for part of last — the Raiders also had 2023 fourth-round pick Aidan O’Connell under center.

The Raiders subsequently lost 29-19 as Ridder took over and fumbled after getting hit on the very next play after Minshew was injury.

The Raiders dropped to 2-9 with the loss.

Minshew finished the contest 25-for-42 pᴀssing, recording one touchdown and an interception.

Ridder was 5-for-10 for 64 yards in relief.

Minshew ends his season with nine pᴀssing touchdowns and 10 interceptions, with 2,013 pᴀssing yards across nine starts, 10 total appearances.

Minshew is currently on the first of a two-year, $25 million deal, but only $15 million is guaranteed, and the Raiders will likely be looking for their quarterback of the future in the 2025 NFL Draft.
