Ariana Grande’s boyfriend Ethan Slater took a tumble at the UK premiere of Wicked on Monday evening. 

As the cast gathered to mark the release of the highly-anticipated film adaptation of the Broadway musical, the actor, 32, suffered an unfortunate fall as he tripped up in the doorway. 

Fans in the crowd captured videos, which have been shared on TikTok, with Ethan seen sat on the floor after making his way down the green carpet at the event. 

The broadway star was later helped up by security after appearing to lose his footing on the rain-soaked floor. 

After bouncing back up he threw a thumbs up to the crowd outside and smiled as he made light of the situation.

The couple have faced affair rumours as they went public with their romance shortly after their respective divorces in 2023.

Ariana has gushed over her ‘amazing’ and ‘adorable’ boyfriend while promoting Wicked, which hits theatres on November 22, despite claims that producers feared her romance with Ethan would ‘overshadow’ the film.

Insiders have claimed the couple were instructed to ‘disappear for six months’ in the hope that the backlash would die down before the long-awaited musical hits cinemas on November 22. 

‘When news of the relationship first broke, studio execs were extremely worried about how it would impact the film,’ a source told DailyMail.com. ‘They were feeling the heat and Ariana and Ethan were instructed to disappear for six months, which they did.’ 

At the UK premiere they posed in a group sH๏τ along with their co-stars Jonathan Bailey and Cynthia Erivo but made sure they were stood apart. 

They didn’t pose for sH๏τs together and were not seen interacting on the big night. Ethan looked dapper as he walked the red carpet in a black suit.

Ethan has been cast in the movie as Boq, the love interest of Elphaba’s sister, Nessarose, who becomes the Tin Man.

The stars of the upcoming musical movie, which will premiere in theatres worldwide on November 22, channeled their characters Glinda and Elphaba, respectively, with their red carpet looks. 

The upcoming two-part feature is adapted from the long-running Broadway musical and is a sequel to The Wizard of Oz.

The motion picture is slated to arrive in theatres with release dates of November 22, 2024 for Wicked: Part One, and November 26, 2025 for Wicked: Part Two.
