He’s been left hobbling on crutches since injuring himself on Strictly Come Dancing.
Yet Nick Knowles didn’t let his various ailments stop him from getting into the Christmas spirit as he decorated his home with fiancée Katie Dadzie on Thursday.
The DIY SOS star, 62, ensured he pulled out all the stops as he pulled out a ladder and got to work hanging hundreds of fairy lights, tinsel and giant baubles around his home.
Two mini Christmas trees framed his front porch, while LED reindeers and mini Santa statues were strewn across his lawn.
The pièce de résistance came in the form of a 12 foot tall lit up teddy bear in a nutcracker costume.
While Nick looked sprightly he has been battling various ailments from his time on Strictly.

The handyman was eliminated from the show in week three after previously being forced to pull out of Movie Week due to a shoulder and knee injury.
Nick was left requiring an MRI scan and hobbling on crutches after he fell during rehearsals for the BBC compeтιтion.
It came after he had already hurt his arm while changing a tyre after his car broke down on the way to his own birthday party.
Nick has since revealed his Strictly Come Dancing future when asked by a fan whether he’d be doing the end of series group dance.
When someone enquired on Instagram: ‘Will you still be able to do the end of series dance in the final? Wouldn’t seem right you not being there.’
Nick replied: ‘I’m not sure my injuries will allow – I have to wait for the knee operation until the bicep operation has healed so I can use crutches afterwards.
‘So I don’t think recovery will be in time sadly.’
Last month the broadcaster shared a video from his hospital bed where he told fans he has ‘two or three months’ of physiotherapy ahead.
He said: ‘Just woken up from my op.
‘All went well by all accounts so I have a reattached bicep now so bit of physio over the next two or three months and all should be right as rain and back to 100% I think.
‘So that’s one down and one to go on the knee,’ he added and captioned the video: ‘All done – thanks to Mr Ahrens the surgeon and all the medical staff’.

Nick and Luba lost the dance-off to Shayne Ward and Nancy Xu.
When asked by Tess about their time on the show, Nick said: ‘I’ve really, really been surprised by how much I’ve loved doing it and by two things that happen.’
He explained: ‘One is how much you care each week, and the other is how much you don’t want to let down your partner.
‘The only reason I could do this is simply because of Luba’s changes, she’s been amazing.’
Luba said: ‘I’ve never met someone as determined as you, and I remember you saying that if you do your best, you’ll be very happy. I think you did more than your best. Thank you.’
When asked by Tess about his partner Luba, Nick shared: ‘Luba’s been amazing and just been so fabulous every day.
‘And I should say thank you also to all the background staff, the physios, all the people that have actually got me through this week, and to all of my fellow compeтιтors who have been absolutely astounding, beautiful people.
‘There are some amazing dancers up there, and I will love watching the rest of the series.’
