š„ Donetsk and Mariupol in a Ring of Fire as Ukrainian Drones Strike Deep Behind Russian Lines

Donetsk and Mariupol ā two major symbols of Russiaās occupation ā are now facing growing pressure as Ukrainian forces intensify deep strikes far behind the front.
Reports suggest Ukrainian drones are reaching 100ā160 km into Russian-held territory, hitting logistics routes, military depots, air defense positions, and key transport roads used to move troops and supplies.
What once felt like a safe rear zone is now turning into a vulnerable battlefield.

ā ļø Russian logistics under pressure.

The pattern appears increasingly systematic: weaken supply lines, disrupt movement, destroy protection systems, and force Russian units to operate under constant threat.
If this pressure continues, it could become more than a series of strikes ā it may signal the beginning of a deeper breakdown across occupied rear areas.
Donetsk and Mariupol ā two key symbols of the Russian occupation ā are in a ring of fire. The enemy’s logistics are effectively paralyzed there. Roads have been shelled, PPOs are being destroyed, and ZSU drones are calmly penetrating 100-160 km deep into the enemy’s rear.

Today we understand how systematic this is and why it could be the beginning of a breakdown in the front.
Aero reconnaissance Igor Lutsenko described a new reality the other day. ZSU officially reported numerous attacks on enemy equipment in the Mariupol region, and were operating on vital roads around Donetsk in a state of controlled fire.
These were not isolated attacks, but mį“ss į“ssaults at depths of up to 120-160 km. Unit fighters were disrupting Russian logistics where the occupiers still felt relatively safe.
Controlling logistics is controlling territory. If the Ukrainian army holds the main routes in the line of fire, the Russians cannot safely transport infantry, equipment, ammunition, and fuel. No truck or baggage commander would travel hundreds of kilometers without risking air traffic.

This makes a huge difference. If even being deep behind, 100 km from the front line is dangerous ā then what’s the point of holding territory further away? The army is not self-sufficient, equipment runs out of fuel, reserves don’t arrive.
The ZSU officially declared: “Return to Mariupol.” Too far in the sky. The first corps of the five announced sHą¹Ļs, in which the frame was the native Mariupol and the military target of the usurpers only in urban development.
The depth of the hits continues to increase. The unit’s intelligent and strike systems operate at distances up to 160 km along the front line. This is no longer a tactical advantage, but an operational blockade.
Western analysts, particularly French ossint expert Cleman Malin, note that Ukrainian forces are gradually shifting the war toward key logistical arteries. A major systemic impact on Donetsk-Mariupol, Melitopol-Zaporizhye, and Mariupol-Melitopol is expected in the near future.

The Melitopol-Zaporizhye highway is especially important ā the main supply artery for the entire group heading towards Zaporizhye. If drones operate systematically, the invaders’ supply lines will become a chronic problem.
There are new mid-range Ukrainian drones ā a middle ground between inexpensive FPVs and heavy long-range equipment. They allow large and relatively expensive logistics to operate deep within the region. Analysts have called it the beginning of a drone blockade in the south.
In Donetsk, which has been a major Russian logistics hub since 2014, the situation has also changed significantly. The distance from the front lines is now more than 60 km, and Ukrainian drones are appearing there. Russian PPOs are usually silent, and attacks occur even in broad daylight.
This is not a random success; it is a well-organized system of action. These include relays, possibly Starlink, as well as drones with artificial intelligence elements (for example, Hornet, an American company linked to Eric Schmidt).
