💙🙏 “Please Help Us Bring Liam Home”: 5-Month-Old Texas Baby Needs Urgent Medical Flight

“Please help us bring Liam home.”

Six words have become the desperate plea of a Texas family fighting to get their five-month-old baby back to the specialized medical care he urgently needs.

Liam was born in Hockley, Texas, and according to his family, he was a happy and healthy baby who smiled often and brought tremendous joy to everyone around him.

On August 5, he reached his five-month milestone.

But instead of celebrating at home with his family, Liam is now in an intensive care unit in the Dominican Republic, where doctors are working to stabilize his serious condition. 💔

Liam’s family says he developed a fever shortly before leaving the United States. He was taken to an emergency room, evaluated, and discharged. According to his family, they were told he was cleared to travel.

On July 29, Liam and his mother flew to the Dominican Republic.

The trip was supposed to be a precious family visit.

Liam’s father was born and raised in the Dominican Republic and is currently unable to travel to the United States. The journey gave him an opportunity to finally spend meaningful time with his infant son.

But only two days after arriving, Liam’s fever returned.

His mother immediately took him to the hospital.

Doctors discovered that the five-month-old was facing multiple serious medical complications.

According to a medical letter shared by his family, Liam was experiencing severe anemia requiring blood transfusions, dangerously low platelets, febrile neutropenia, and a serious soft-tissue infection involving his right arm.

Doctors also documented profound pancytopenia, meaning critically low levels of several types of blood cells.

Most concerning, abnormal cells were found in Liam’s blood. The medical team reported a high suspicion for acute lymphoblastic leukemia, commonly known as ALL.

Additional testing is still needed to determine exactly what is happening and to guide the appropriate treatment. Doctors are also evaluating a possible sickle cell condition.

Liam has already required multiple blood transfusions as well as a platelet transfusion while medical teams work to stabilize him. 🙏

Now his family faces another enormous challenge: getting him back to Texas.

According to the family, Liam’s doctors have determined that he is currently too medically fragile to travel on a commercial aircraft.

Instead, he needs a specialized international medical flight equipped with medical personnel and lifesaving equipment capable of supporting him throughout the journey.

His family hopes to bring him to Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, where pediatric specialists can continue his evaluation and perform the procedures necessary to determine his diagnosis and begin definitive treatment.

The family is seeking to raise approximately $75,000 to help cover the specialized medical transportation and the significant expenses surrounding Liam’s care.

For his mother, who is currently sitting beside her baby in the ICU, the situation is unimaginable.

For his father, the precious opportunity to finally spend time with his son has suddenly become a frightening medical crisis.

And for the entire family, getting Liam home has become the most urgent goal. 💙

Their message is simple:

“Please help us bring Liam Home to get his emergency medical Care.”

They are asking for prayers, support, and shares.

Prayers that Liam can become stable enough to make the journey.

Prayers for his mother as she remains by his side.

Prayers for his father and the entire family as they navigate an overwhelming situation.

And prayers that the specialists in Texas can find the answers they need and provide the treatment Liam urgently requires.

Sometimes, help comes through a medical connection.

Sometimes, it comes through an organization capable of arranging specialized transport.

Sometimes, it comes from a stranger who simply sees a family’s plea and decides to share it.

For Baby Liam, every connection could matter.

💙 He is only five months old. His family simply wants to bring him home.

Please keep Liam in your prayers and share his story so it can reach someone who may be able to help this family find a way forward.

🏠🙏 Bring Baby Liam home.
