When doctors feared little Marwa might never wake up, her parents refused to give up hope.

The one-year-old had been placed in a medically induced coma after battling a serious viral infection. As doctors became increasingly concerned about the possibility of severe neurological complications, they believed continued life support might not give her a meaningful chance of recovery. 💔🏥

But Marwa’s parents were not ready to say goodbye.

Determined to give their daughter every possible chance, they challenged the decision in court and launched the “Not Without My Marwa” campaign, which gathered more than 114,000 signatures.
