💔 8-Year-Old Adrian Thompson’s Final Moments Revealed in School Surveillance Video—Heartbroken Parents Demand Answers

🚨 She was only eight years old. She walked toward a school employee, desperately trying to communicate that something was wrong. But newly released surveillance footage has raised troubling questions about the response during the critical moments before Adrian Thompson was rushed to hospital.

LINDALE, TEXAS — Six months after Adrian Sue Thompson died following a choking emergency at Velma Penny Elementary School, her parents have released school surveillance footage showing what happened before she reached the nurse’s office.

The incident began during lunchtime on April 15, 2026. Adrian was rushed to hospital and pᴀssed away during the early hours of April 16.

🔎 What Does the Surveillance Video Show?

At approximately 11:40 a.m., Adrian left her lunch table, coughing into a napkin and appearing distressed.

She approached a school employee and tried to get attention.

According to the investigative report, the employee initially believed Adrian was feeling sick and directed her toward a trash can before asking whether she wanted to use the restroom.

Adrian returned shortly afterward, still appearing distressed, before eventually running toward the school nurse’s office.

Her parents say the footage raises serious questions about why the emergency was not recognized sooner.

⚠️ Questions About the Emergency Response

According to investigators, the school nurse performed the Heimlich maneuver, attempted to use a LifeVac anti-choking device, and administered CPR.

However, the Texas Rangers’ report documented that the device examined had an adult-sized mask.

The principal called 911 at approximately 11:45 a.m., around five minutes after Adrian first showed signs of distress.

Emergency responders arrived and continued lifesaving efforts before transporting her to Cook Children’s Medical Center.

Sadly, Adrian could not be saved.

💔 Her Parents Still Want Answers

Adrian’s mother, Anna Thompson, says the family released the footage because they want other parents to understand what happened.

She has questioned the investigation, particularly the reported lack of direct witness interviews.

The Texas Rangers concluded that no criminal offense had occurred, while the medical examiner classified Adrian’s pᴀssing as accidental.

Nevertheless, her parents continue seeking greater transparency and changes to school emergency procedures.

❤️ A Little Girl Whose Story Could Help Protect Others

Adrian was more than a name in an investigative report.

She was a second-grade student who loved school, friends, and spending time with her family.

Her parents hope that sharing her story will encourage schools to improve emergency training, equipment, and response procedures.

No parent should have to watch footage of their child desperately seeking help and wonder whether something more could have been done.

Adrian’s story is now raising an important question for schools everywhere:

When a child shows signs of a medical emergency, are the adults around them prepared to recognize it and act immediately?

Her family hopes that asking this question will help prevent another family from experiencing the same heartbreak. 🕊️
