💔 2-YEAR-OLD BARRETT “BEAR” WALSH D#ES IN TRAGEDY AS MOTHER FACES M#RDER CHARGES IN ILLINOIS

A heartbreaking case has shaken the Frankfort community after 2-year-old Barrett “Bear” Walsh was found unresponsive at his family’s home on September 1, 2026.

Frankfort police responded to the home shortly after 4 p.m. following a report involving the toddler. A neighbor attempted to help Barrett before emergency responders arrived, but the child could not be saved.

His mother, 40-year-old Corie Walsh, has been charged with three counts of first-degree m#rder. Prosecutors allege that Walsh made disturbing statements to investigators about Barrett, while her attorneys say she was experiencing a severe psycH๏τic episode at the time.

According to court documents cited by prosecutors, Walsh allegedly told officers that she believed Barrett was “the devil” and the “Antichrist.” Those statements are allegations presented in court and have not been established as facts at trial.

Investigators also said Walsh had recently been closely following the Lindsay Clancy trial in Mᴀssachusetts. Witnesses reportedly told police she had been discussing the case shortly before the tragedy, although her defense attorney has rejected suggestions that the two cases were connected and says Walsh was experiencing a psycH๏τic episode.

A Will County judge has ordered Walsh to remain in custody while the case proceeds. Her next court appearance is scheduled for September 24.

Behind the court filings and allegations is a family mourning the loss of a 2-year-old child remembered as “Bear.” The case is now moving through the legal system, with prosecutors and the defense offering very different accounts of Walsh’s mental state and what happened that day.
