💔🕯️ SHE WENT TO PICK UP HER TWO CHILDREN — BUT NEVER MADE IT HOME: TEXAS MOTHER’S TRAGIC FINAL JOURNEY
PLANO, TEXAS — August 12, 2026 — Eliana Bigoni, 34, left home on the morning of August 12 expecting to do something completely ordinary: pick up her two young children.
She never returned.
Eliana went to the Plano apartment of her estranged husband, 37-year-old Jake O’Brien Bigoni, to collect their 2- and 5-year-old children.
When Eliana failed to appear for an 8:30 a.m. appointment and stopped responding to messages, a concerned friend contacted police.
Around 10:30 a.m., officers arrived at the apartment.
According to authorities, Jake answered the door wearing a shirt with what appeared to be a large bloodstain. He reportedly told officers that he had been cleaning and claimed Eliana had already left.
The investigation soon took a more troubling turn.
Police reportedly learned that Jake had contacted his mother and allegedly told her that he and Eliana had argued and that Eliana was ᴅᴇᴀᴅ.
Officers subsequently searched the garage.
Inside, they discovered Eliana in the trunk of a white Hyundai. Authorities reported that she had suffered severe injuries to her head and face. đź’”
The couple’s two children were inside the apartment at the time.
Thankfully, authorities said neither child was physically injured.
But the emotional impact on the two young children and their family is likely to last for years.
Eliana had gone to the apartment as a mother coming to pick up her children. Instead, that ordinary morning became the final chapter of her life.
Jake Bigoni has since been charged with murder and abuse of a corpse and is being held without bond.
Authorities have not announced a final motive. Investigators have said the couple were separated and going through a divorce, and that an argument had occurred before Eliana’s pᴀssing.
As the legal process begins, many questions remain.
For Eliana’s loved ones, however, the most painful reality is already clear: a 34-year-old mother is gone, leaving behind two children who should have had many more years with her. 🧸💔
Her children should have been able to celebrate birthdays with their mother, come home from school and tell her about their day, and grow up knowing the person who loved them from the beginning.
Instead, they now face a future shaped by an absence they are far too young to fully understand.
Eliana should be remembered as more than the subject of a criminal investigation.
She was a mother.
She was a daughter, a loved one and a person with a life and future of her own.
And on that August morning, she was simply a mother going to pick up her children.
🕯️ May Eliana’s memory bring strength to her family, and may her two children always know how deeply their mother was loved.
