For another five days, Albert remained in the womb, gaining valuable time to develop before he was born naturally weighing 1 pound 6 ounces.

Both babies spent months in intensive care, where every day brought new challenges.

Dolly underwent heart surgery at just six weeks old to correct a heart condition common among extremely premature infants. Both twins also required treatment for eye complications ᴀssociated with premature birth.

Despite the obstacles, the siblings continued to make progress.

Albert was eventually discharged from the hospital in March, with Dolly following a few weeks later, finally allowing the family to be together at home.
