MARGATE, FLORIDA — August 23, 2026 — What began as an ordinary family moment during a sudden Florida storm turned into an unimaginable tragedy for the Glasgow family.

Kenya Glasgow, 31, and her 2-year-old twin daughter, Kennedi, were struck by lightning while the family was trying to get indoors in Margate.

Kenya was outside with her husband, Kam Glasgow, and their twin daughters, Kennedi and Kensli, when lightning suddenly struck the area.

Kam later described witnessing the entire event. He also experienced the residual electrical current himself but survived the incident. Their other young daughter, Kensli, was also spared. ⚡💔
