At just 18 months old, Gavin is now a happy toddler who loves playing with his toys and enjoying the little things in life. But his journey began with a frightening diagnosis before he was even born. ❤️‍🩹

During pregnancy, doctors discovered that Gavin had lymphatic malformation, a rare developmental condition in which abnormal lymphatic vessels can form clusters of fluid-filled cysts or mᴀsses. In Gavin’s case, the malformation affected his head and jaw, making his condition especially challenging.

After he was born, Gavin faced an intensive course of treatment that included injections and multiple medical procedures to manage the abnormal growths. 🏥

He spent the first seven months of his life in hospital, going through treatment during a time when most babies are simply beginning to discover the world around them.

Today, seeing Gavin playing and smiling like any other toddler makes his journey even more remarkable. 🥹💙
