Eleanor was born with osteogenesis imperfecta, commonly known as brittle bone disease, and faced extraordinary challenges from the very beginning of her life. She suffered seven fractures during birth, and as she grew older, her family endured countless hospital visits as she experienced repeated broken bones.

Doctors later discovered that Eleanor’s spinal cord had become dangerously compressed, placing her at risk of permanent paralysis if she suffered another serious fall. After careful evaluation, specialists recommended a highly complex spinal operation to relieve the pressure and give her the best chance at preserving her mobility.

Now, just three weeks after surgery, Eleanor is making encouraging progress. Her family says she is smiling again and facing each day with remarkable determination as she completes hours of rehabilitation designed to rebuild her strength and independence.

Although the road to recovery remains long, every small milestone has become a reason for celebration. Eleanor’s courage has inspired many people who have followed her journey, reminding them of the resilience children can show even in the most difficult circumstances.
