💔 HUMAN REMAINS FOUND NEAR NANCY GUTHRIE’S HOME — AUTHORITIES SAY NO CONNECTION TO HER CASE

Human remains were discovered on August 17 in a desert area near West Ajo Way and South La Cholla Boulevard in Tucson, roughly 15 miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home. The discovery immediately raised questions because the 84-year-old mother of Today co-anchor Savannah Guthrie has been missing for months.

However, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said there is currently no indication that the remains are connected to Nancy’s disappearance. Authorities also said the remains appeared to have been at the location for an extended period of time.

Deputies responded to the remote desert area after the remains were reported. Officials have not publicly disclosed who discovered them, exactly when they were found, or additional details about the idenтιтy of the deceased.

The discovery comes as the search for Nancy continues. She was last seen on January 31 and reported missing the following day. Investigators believe she was taken against her will, and the FBI continues to ᴀssist local authorities with the case.

Nancy’s family, including Savannah, has continued appealing for information that could help bring her home. Despite months of investigation, authorities have yet to publicly identify a suspect.

For Nancy’s loved ones, the discovery of remains so relatively close to her home may have been deeply unsettling — but officials currently say there is no known link between the remains and Nancy’s case.

The mystery surrounding Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance remains unresolved, and the search continues. 💔🙏
