The father of 3-year-old Noah Woods has shared a heartbreaking tribute after a child’s b#dy was recovered from Decoy Pond during the search for his missing son.

Noah disappeared in Brantham, Suffolk, on September 15 after becoming separated from a relative near a playground on Merriam Close. A large-scale search was launched, with police, emergency services, specialist teams and around 1,300 members of the public joining the effort.

On September 16, specialist dive officers recovered a child’s b#dy from Decoy Pond. Suffolk Constabulary confirmed the following day that the child had been formally identified as Noah.

His father, Rhys Woods, remembered Noah as “the sweetest and most innocent little boy” and said the family would miss him enormously. He also thanked the many people who had joined the search and supported the family during those desperate hours.

Flowers, balloons, toys and messages have since been left at the playground where Noah was last seen, as members of the community continue to pay tribute to the little boy.

Police said Noah’s d#ath is not being treated as suspicious, while enquiries continue before a file is submitted to the Coroner.
