🌿 Vogue Williams Opens Up About Two Miscarriages Before “Nervously” Expecting Baby No. 4 💛
Vogue Williams has shared a deeply personal and emotional chapter of her life, revealing that she experienced two miscarriages before becoming pregnant with her fourth child with husband Spencer Matthews.
The presenter, 40, spoke candidly in a video posted to her YouTube channel shortly after announcing her pregnancy. While the couple is excited about expanding their family, Vogue explained that this pregnancy carries a different emotional weight due to her past experiences.
She admitted that the journey has left her feeling cautious. “It’s made me nervous,” she said, reflecting on how previous losses have shaped her outlook during this pregnancy.
Vogue and Spencer, who married in 2018, are already parents to three children — Theodore, Gigi, and Otto. However, the path to this next pregnancy was not straightforward.
Spencer also acknowledged the difficulty of the journey, describing it as emotionally and mentally challenging at times. He emphasized that while the couple is happy, there were “definitely bumps along the way” before reaching this point.
Vogue went on to speak about her first miscarriage, which occurred very early in pregnancy at around four weeks. She described it as upsetting, even though the timing meant she did not have long to process it before becoming pregnant again shortly afterward.
Her second miscarriage, however, came later and had a much deeper emotional impact. At around 12 weeks pregnant, she had begun preparing to share the news with family, though she had not yet told her children. During a routine scan, she sensed something was wrong when she noticed a change in the doctor’s demeanor.
She was informed that while a pregnancy sac was present, the embryo had not developed. Despite this, her body continued to show pregnancy symptoms, making the experience even more confusing and painful.
“I just didn’t want to feel pregnant anymore,” she said, describing the emotional difficulty of experiencing physical symptoms after receiving devastating news. She also shared that she felt a sense of embarrassment at the time, despite acknowledging that there was no reason to feel that way.
“I know it’s not something to be embarrassed about,” she explained. “But that’s how I felt.”
Throughout the process, Vogue expressed gratitude for the care she received from the medical team at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, acknowledging their support during a very difficult period.
Now expecting again, she says she is holding two emotions at once — gratitude and caution. While excited for what lies ahead, she is also mindful of the losses she has experienced, carrying both hope and sensitivity into this new chapter of motherhood.
