“Triplets Arrive Home After ICU Stay — and a Heartwarming Family Moment Follows 👶👶👶💙”

A deeply emotional and joyful chapter has unfolded for a family in Brusque, in Brazil’s Itajaí Valley, as newborn triplets Vitor Hugo, Victor, and Valentim were finally discharged from hospital and taken home.

The babies were born prematurely at 33 weeks and required specialized care in the neonatal intensive care unit at Hospital Azambuja. Due to their early arrival, each child was monitored closely by medical staff until they were strong enough to be released. One baby was discharged on Friday, another on Sunday, and the final one on Tuesday, marking the end of their hospital journey and the beginning of life at home.

Their parents, Aline da Silva Costa (28) and Elisandro Antunes (32), described the moment as overwhelming and emotional. After weeks of uncertainty and hospital visits, the family was finally able to begin adjusting to life together under one roof.

Elisandro shared that while the transition is still being organized and adapted to, the most important thing for them is simply having all their children home together. With a large household that already includes several children, the arrival of the triplets adds both joy and new responsibilities for the family.

Before traveling to their home in Criciúma, the family was offered a special gift: a professional photo session organized by photographer Doli Tomiozzo. She explained that she wanted to do something meaningful after hearing their story and chose to document this rare and emotional moment.

The session took place in Brusque and captured the newborns in peaceful, quiet moments as they slept through most of the shoot. According to the photographer, the babies were calm throughout, and the final images captured the beauty of the moment—culminating in the first glimpse of their eyes toward the end of the session.

The story of the triplets began unexpectedly when Aline discovered she was pregnant again while still caring for her twin babies. Initially unaware of the pregnancy, she sought medical attention after experiencing discomfort, which led to the surprising discovery of a triplet pregnancy during an ultrasound examination.

Despite the shock, the family embraced the news and prepared for the arrival of three more children. Now, with the babies finally home, the household is filled with adjustment, excitement, and gratitude.
