Source Code (2011)

Source Code (2011) – Mind-Bending Time Loop Thriller
Directed by Duncan Jones
Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal), a U.S. Army helicopter pilot, wakes up on a speeding commuter train to Chicago, trapped in the body of a stranger named Sean Fentress. Sitting across from him is the charming Christina Warren (Michelle Monaghan), who treats him like an old friend. Before he can understand what’s happening, the train explodes in a devastating terrorist attack.

Suddenly, Colter finds himself in a mysterious military pod, communicating with Captain Colleen Goodwin (Vera Farmiga) and the enigmatic Dr. Rutledge (Jeffrey Wright). They reveal he is part of the top-secret “Source Code” program — a technology that allows him to relive the final 8 minutes of a dead man’s life. His mission: identify the bomber before a far larger attack destroys downtown Chicago.
With every reset, Colter gathers clues, builds a connection with Christina, and races against the clock. As he bends the rules of this virtual reality, he discovers shocking truths about his own existence and fights to save hundreds of lives — and perhaps find redemption.

A gripping blend of sci-fi, action, and romance with intense performances. Jake Gyllenhaal delivers a powerful, layered role, supported brilliantly by Michelle Monaghan and Vera Farmiga. Supporting cast includes Michael Arden as Derek Frost and others who bring tension to the train passengers.
Perfect for fans of edge-of-your-seat mind-benders!
