FROM $70 TO MILLIONS OF LIVES — HOW ONE CHILD’S IDEA BECAME A GLOBAL MOVEMENT 💛

FROM $70 TO MILLIONS OF LIVES — HOW ONE CHILD’S IDEA BECAME A GLOBAL MOVEMENT 💛

At just six years old, Ryan Hreljac didn’t see a global crisis.
He saw a problem that needed fixing.

When he learned that children in parts of Africa had to walk long distances every day just to drink unsafe water, it didn’t feel like distant information.
It felt personal.

And so, he decided to do something.

He started small.

Doing chores.
Saving every dollar.

After four months, he had $70 — believing it would be enough to build a well and change lives.

But reality was different.

The actual cost was nearly $2,000.

For most people, that would have been the end of the story.

But not for Ryan.

Instead of giving up, he did something even more powerful —
he asked for help.

Family members contributed.
Neighbors joined in.
The community rallied behind a child who simply refused to look away.

And in 1999, that belief became real.

The first well was built in Uganda.

But that wasn’t the end.

It was only the beginning.

What started as a simple idea grew into Ryan’s Well Foundation — an organization that has since helped provide clean water and sanitation to millions of people around the world.

💛 A child’s question became a global answer.
💛 A small action became a lasting impact.

Because sometimes, the biggest change doesn’t begin with resources.

👉 It begins with someone who cares enough to act.

Even if they’re only six years old.
