Crissie Reilly, 29, from Belleview, and her friend Kelly Rosa, 27, each delivered their babies prematurely at just over 33 weeks, following high-risk pregnancies that required specialist care. Medical staff noted that while twin births are relatively common, triplet pregnancies remain exceptionally rare — and having two separate sets of triplets from close friends in such a short timeframe is almost unheard of.

According to hospital data, out of 2,695 births in a year at UF Health Shands, only two sets of triplets were recorded — and both belonged to these two families.
