Ballerina (2023) – Graceful Fury
In the shadows of Seoul’s glittering stage lights, a deadly dance of vengeance unfolds. Former elite bodyguard Jang Ok-ju (Jeon Jong-seo) lives a solitary life until she reunites with her best friend, talented ballerina Choi Min-hee (Park Yu-rim). Their joyful reunion shatters when Ok-ju discovers Min-hee dead in her bathtub — a suicide driven by unimaginable trauma.

Devastated and fueled by her friend’s final plea for revenge, Ok-ju embarks on a relentless mission against the ruthless sex trafficker Choi Pro (Kim Ji-hoon). What begins as personal retribution spirals into a brutal confrontation with a criminal underworld that preys on vulnerable women through drugs, blackmail, and violence.
With her unmatched skills in martial arts, firearms, and tactical combat, Ok-ju transforms into an unstoppable force. Along the way, she crosses paths with a brave high school student (Shin Se-hwi) and navigates dangerous alliances with figures like pharmacist Myeong-sik (Park Hyung-soo) and crime boss Chief Jo (Kim Mu-yeol).

Directed by Lee Chung-hyun, this intense 93-minute action thriller blends raw emotion, explosive fight sequences, and stylish cinematography. Jeon Jong-seo delivers a powerhouse performance as the grieving avenger, while Kim Ji-hoon portrays a chillingly charismatic villain.
A story of friendship, loss, and fierce justice — where the elegance of ballet meets the brutality of revenge.
