A Day Held More Gently

“Some days aren’t easier… they’re just held a little more gently.” ✨
Today was one of those days. Not because the journey suddenly became simple, but because something small made it feel a little lighter. 💕
The morning began like so many others—quiet nerves, a familiar tension that never really fades. No matter how many times we walk this path, it never becomes routine. A mother’s heart doesn’t learn to worry less… it just learns how to carry it.

Before my daughter’s jejunal tube change, she was given premedication—and somehow, that small step changed everything. I could see it in her. The way her body relaxed just a little more. The way her eyes felt softer, calmer. 🌿
And as she settled, so did I.

We waited together, filling the time with the simplest things—playing, sharing quiet laughter, holding onto moments that might seem small to others but mean everything to us. 🧸💗 In those gentle spaces, fear didn’t disappear… but it loosened its grip.
Some days still come with challenges. Some moments still feel heavy. But today… today felt different. Softer. Kinder.
And sometimes, that’s more than enough.
