Witchblade: Remake (2026)lh

Starring: Angelina Jolie, Jake Gyllenhaal
Quote: “Justice wears many faces… tonight, it wears mine.”

NYPD homicide detective Sara Pezzini (Angelina Jolie) is burned‑out, brilliant and one mistake away from suspension when a high‑profile trafficking case explodes in her face—literally. In the ruins of a museum gala, she comes into contact with an ancient, shifting gauntlet fused to a blood‑stained relic: the Witchblade. The living weapon bonds to her, carving sigils into her skin and flooding her with visions of every woman who ever wore it… and died for it.

Assigned to work with Elias Cross (Jake Gyllenhaal), a charming but morally opaque art‑crime consultant secretly paid by the same cabal Sara is hunting, she’s forced to balance detective work with a power that wants blood, not warrants.

As the Witchblade grows stronger, manifesting blades, armor and spectral wings, Sara begins seeing possible futures—most of them ending with cities in flames and her at the center. To stop a secret order intent on awakening the Blade’s “twin” and rewriting human evolution, she must decide if she’s a cop using a curse… or a chosen executioner pretending to be human.
