🐶💔 Terrified Puppy Trapped During Fireworks

During a night filled with loud Diwali fireworks, a small puppy became overwhelmed by fear and ran for safety—only to crawl deep into a narrow drain pipe and become stuck.

Inside the dark, confined space, the frightened pup remained trapped, unable to escape on its own. 😢

What followed was a race against time.

For over four hours, rescuers worked patiently and carefully to reach the puppy. Teams from the Kloof & Highway SPCA—including Inspector Petros Simamane and Field Officer Philani Nzama—joined forces with Ganga Plumbers, using a camera to locate the exact position of the trapped animal. 🛠️🐾

Every step required precision.

The space was tight.
The puppy was scared.
And one wrong move could make things worse.

But they didn’t give up.

With patience and determination, they were finally able to free the puppy—bringing it back into the open, safe at last. ❤️

Now, the little one is warm, cared for, and beginning to recover from the ordeal.

This rescue is more than just a happy ending.

It’s a reminder of how deeply animals can be affected by loud noises like fireworks—and how important it is to show awareness, care, and compassion, especially during celebrations.
