💔 Lisa Niemi Says She Still Feels Patrick Swayze’s Presence 17 Years After His Death 🌿✨

Lisa Niemi, the widow of actor Patrick Swayze, has opened up about the lasting emotional bond she continues to feel with her late husband nearly two decades after his death.

In a recent reflection, Niemi shared that she still feels Swayze’s presence in her daily life. She explained that she often speaks to him, hears his voice in her thoughts, and even turns to him for guidance in moments of uncertainty. For her, these experiences provide comfort and help ease the loneliness that followed his passing.

Niemi and Swayze shared a 34-year marriage, a deeply connected partnership that lasted until his death in 2009. He was diagnosed in 2008 with Stage IV pancreatic cancer, a moment she described as an “instant nightmare” that changed their lives overnight. From that point forward, they faced his illness together until his passing the following year.

After his death, Niemi experienced profound grief. She has spoken openly about how difficult the transition was after spending most of her adult life with him. The absence left a significant emotional gap, one that she has described as overwhelming at times.

Despite the pain, Niemi eventually found a way to move forward. In 2014, she married jeweler Albert DePrisco. She has said that while Swayze remains an important part of her life and memory, she also believes he would have wanted her to find happiness again.

Her current life is quieter and more grounded. She lives on a horse ranch in Florida with DePrisco, but continues to surround herself with reminders of Swayze, including photographs displayed throughout her home. She also remains active in advocacy work with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, honoring his memory by supporting awareness and research.

Niemi has reflected on the emotional toll of being a caregiver during Swayze’s illness, acknowledging that in her effort to be strong for him, she often neglected her own well-being. Today, she encourages others in similar situations to seek support and not lose sight of self-care while caring for loved ones.

Even as she builds a life forward, Niemi admits there are moments when she wishes Swayze could still be present for everyday experiences. However, she also believes he would want her to continue living fully and finding joy again.

She has expressed gratitude for the understanding of her current husband, who accepts the enduring place Swayze holds in her heart. For Niemi, this balance between remembrance and renewal reflects a belief that moving forward does not require letting go of love that once defined a lifetime.
