Noise (2025) – When Silence Screams
In the heart of a seemingly peaceful apartment complex, two sisters chase a fresh start — only to be tormented by an unrelenting, untraceable noise that invades their walls and minds. Joo-young (Lee Sun-bin), a determined woman with a hearing impediment who relies on her hearing aid, returns from her countryside factory job after her younger sister Joo-hee (Han Su-a) vanishes without a trace. Joined by Joo-hee’s boyfriend Ki-hoon (Kim Min-seok), she begins a desperate search through suspicious neighbors and eerie corridors.

As the mysterious sounds grow louder and more sinister, Joo-young confronts buried family trauma, aggressive residents convinced the sisters are the source of the disturbance, and terrifying visions that blur the line between reality and nightmare. Director Kim Soo-jin’s gripping debut masterfully turns everyday apartment sounds into pure psychological terror, blending haunting atmosphere with intense jump scares and emotional depth. Supporting cast includes Ryu Kyung-soo as the tormented downstairs neighbor, Han Su-a, Jeon Ik-ryung, and Baek Joo-hee.

Will Joo-young uncover the truth behind the noise… or will it consume her too? A chilling exploration of guilt, isolation, and the horrors hidden in plain sight.
