617 suspects arrested in DEA crackdown on Sinaloa cartel, drug haul worth millions seized

A DEA nationwide crackdown on the deadly Sinaloa Cartel has led to 617 arrests across 23 US field divisions, including 171 in New England. The week-long surge seized 480 kg of fentanyl, 2,209 kg of meth, 7,469 kg of cocaine, heroin, over 714,000 counterfeit pills, 420 firearms, and $11M in cash.

DEA chief Terrance Cole said the action shows the agency’s commitment to protecting Americans, as the cartel’s network stretches from major cities to small towns.
