Alan Carr is reportedly set to be a part of the star-studded lineup for Celebrity Traitors and fans will be thrilled as he topped their wish lists.
The comedian, 48, is reportedly in final talks to join fellow Jester Jennifer Saunders, 66, in Claudia Winkleman’s, 52, castle next year, which will be his first-ever reality TV gig.
A source told The Sun: ‘Alan is an absolute national treasure and will be an incredible contestant – he’ll make great telly as well as being a top player.’
‘Bosses are thrilled at the kind of scenes that could play out as he grapples with the more sensible names on the line-up as well as him giggling away with pals like Jennifer.’
‘He has been one of viewers’ dream signings since the idea of a celebrity version was first floated so everyone is thrilled talks are in final stages.’

Last month it was reported that a star-studded crop of celebrities had signed up for the show.
Hosted by Claudia, the spin-off series will see the group compete in the psychological challenge to try to uncover who ‘the traitors’ are in order to win a cash prize.
The second series of the hit BBC series reached huge success at the start of the year, with the final making history as the most watched episode ever, with 6.9million people tuning in.
The gripping reality show has also earned a raft of awards including at last year’s British Academy Television Awards and National Television Awards.
And it seems the BBC are on their way to securing a bumper crop of celebs – with Courteney Cox, Ricky Gervais, Tom Daley and Tess Daly and Vernon Kay amongst the names rumoured to appear on the series.
English broadcaster Stephen Fry, 67, has reportedly agreed to take part and was said to be at the top of host Claudia’s wishlist.
Insiders revealed that the comedian was approached to star in the show and ‘confirmed’ that he will be making an appearance.

A source told The Sun: ‘Claudia put Stephen right at the top of celebs she’d want on The Traitors and Stephen has made it clear he’d be game.’
‘Stephen is a fan of the show and Claudia was desperate for him to be in it.’

They added: ‘No contracts have been signed yet — but he told the show’s bosses to name a time and date and he’ll be there.’
Meanwhile, Courteney Cox, 60, was reportedly lined up as the first signing for a celebrity version of The Traitors.
The actress is good pals with the host of the show, Claudia and it’s claimed bosses are hoping their friendship will convince Courteney to sign up.
Insiders have claimed producers are hoping to have the choice of several big stars who are themselves fans of the reality programme following the success of the first two series, which featured previously unknown contestants.
Ricky Gervais, 63, also is said to be up high among the collection of A-listers being targeted for the show.
Whether he agrees to the BBC’s request is unknown as he has been incredibly busy in recent weeks with his popular stand-up series for Netflix.
Despite his jam-packed schedule, the beeb hopes to convince the actor and return to the channel where he initially sH๏τ to global fame for his role in The Office.
Meanwhile, Clare Balding is said to be the latest star to sign up for the show.
The presenter, 53, will appear on the series after rejecting previous offers to star in the reality show.

A source told The Sun: ‘Clare is an absolutely brilliant signing because she’s always turned down reality offers flat.’
‘As such, this will offer the first real glimpse into what she’s like as a person.’
The source added that she would be the perfect celebrity to join the show because no one would suspect the BBC’s ‘face of sport’ to be a ‘treacherous liar’.
The star has previously refused all offers to appear on reality TV.
When approached to take part in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!’ She stated she wouldn’t even consider it.
Adding: ‘If they were building a school in Africa or something worthy I’d do it.’
And the star has proved her point, having appeared on charity shows including Sports Relief Does The Apprentice in 2008 and Celebrity Gogglebox for Stand Up To Cancer with her wife Alice Arnold.
A third series of The Traitors is reportedly set to launch in January.
