Lana Del Rey fans lash out at ‘disgusting’ ticket prices on Ticketmaster – as pre-sale for newly announced UK tour goes live

Lana Del Rey fans have been left furious as they branded the price of her upcoming tour tickets ‘disgusting’.

The Video Games hitmaker, 39, delighted fans after she announced her huge 2025 UK and Ireland stadium tour on Monday which will see her play London’s Wembley Stadium on July 3, as part of her biggest headline run this side of the pond.

However, while fans were excited at first by the news, they were left shocked at the cost of the tickets after the accessed the artist presale on Wednesday and discovered prices began at £80 and go up to as much as £400.

The Ticketmaster alert read: ‘Tickets have been priced in advance by the tour from £80.70 to £405 (including fees), plus a per order charge of £2.75.’

Others also slammed the site for not loading the seat map and being unable to use their pre-sale codes.

Explaining it is Lana’s team who will have determined the pricing Ticketmaster told MailOnline: ‘Ticketmaster does not set ticket prices. The artist team plan all aspects of their event or tour – including the price of tickets.’

MailOnline have contacted Lana’s representatives for comment.

Meanwhile another source told MailOnline they managed to secure two platinum tickets for the London Wembley show for £630.

They admitted they were shocked to have secured the tickets for £315 each after they logged on to find themselves 75,000 in the queue.

Taking to Twitter fans also lashed out as they branded the prices ‘vile’ and admitted they weren’t willing to pay such high amounts.

They penned: ‘Lana del Rey ticket prices are vile’; ‘i’ve wanted to see lana del rey for years but those prices are diabolical, £167 for seated?!?!’;

‘Whilst I’d love to see Lana Del Rey live, these are not prices I’m willing to pay and more so these are not prices I’m willing to ask my friends who are casual fans to pay. Considering this is a stadium, £80 as a starting point is beyond ridiculous’;

‘Concert ticket prices have definitely skyrocketed lately, and it’s no surprise fans are frustrated. Paying £100 for nosebleeds or £116 for restricted view tickets is a steep ask even for an artist as iconic as Lana Del Rey….’;

‘If the prices I’m seeing from posts on here about the Lana Del Rey @TicketmasterUK pre-sale are correct (£170 for standard standing tickets) then that’s disgusting.

‘Major-label artists and ticket companies are vultures preying on fans. Respectfully, get bent ma’am’;

‘Oh Ticketmaster and Lana Del Rey you are cheeky with those prices’; ‘don’t particularly care for Lana Del Rey but those ticket prices are ridiculous’;

‘Lana Del Rey, are you having a laugh with your ticket prices ma’am?!’

Ticketmaster bosses previously came under fire again for raking in profits after their use of dynamic pricing when Oasis tickets went on sale earlier this year.

Dynamic pricing sees companies ask the price for a product that is equal to the value a consumer attaches to it, so their willingness to pay more increases the value.

This way companies can calculate how many consumers are willing to pay for the product at each price point.

Music artists from Ed Sheeran to Taylor Swift and The Cure to Tom Grennan have refused to use dynamic pricing on tickets, yet it is unclear whether Lana has done the same.

Artists including Pearl Jam, singer-songwriter Neil Young and The Cure’s Robert Smith have slammed the system, with Smith telling fans he was ‘sickened’ by Ticketmaster fees and calling dynamic pricing a ‘greedy scam’.

It is unclear whether dynamic pricing has been used in this instance as general sale doesn’t begin until Friday November 29.

Tickets go on general sale from 10am via Live Nation on Friday with an additional presale ballot for fans to sign up to for early release on Thursday November 28.

The Artist presale is currently taking place on Wednesday 27 November explaining how Twitter users have found out the prices.

Lana kicks off at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 23 and before playing at Glasgow’s Hampden Park on June 26, Liverpool FC’s ground, Anfield Stadium, on June 28, and Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 30.

The ‘Born To Die’ hitmaker has had a stellar 2024, having headlined Coachella in the US and Reading and Leeds in the UK, as well as Rock en Seine and her first stadium show at Fenway Park, Boston, USA.

Meanwhile, fans are awaiting a release date for Lana’s upcoming 10th studio album Lᴀsso.

The Cinnamon Girl singer is known for her depressing lyrics, and whilst sonically the record won’t be a ‘bogue lana delheavy departure’ from her Americana sound, she’s teased the lyrics aren’t as dark.

She recently told Vogue: ‘All my albums are somewhat rooted in Americana, unless it’s an album like ‘Honeymoon’ which has a jazz flair, so I don’t think it will be a heavy departure.

‘If anything, it will just be a little lighter lyrically, and more pointed in a classic country, American, or Southern Gothic production — which again, so many of my songs already are.’

Lana has worked with regular collaborator Jack Antonoff and country music maker Luke Laird on the new tunes.

Speaking at Billboard’s pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles earlier this year, she teased: ‘If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country. We’re going country. It’s happening.

‘That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years.’

In an Instagram video, she spilled: ‘Jack’s [Antonoff] in town, I’m going to see him work on some little songs. I’ve had a really beautiful week with [songwriter and producer] Luke Laird.’

The prolific star’s last studio album was 2023’s Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.

Lana recently teamed up with former Migos star Quavo on the track Tough.

The star expressed her desire for a partner that wants a ‘simple’ love and revealed her plans to start to a family.

She said: ‘Most of the people I met wanted Hollywood to be the third part in our relationship. When I get married, it’ll be to someone who, like me, believes that love is enough.

‘I’ll be enough for him, and he’ll be enough for me. Someone to have children with if that happens, or just friends.

‘I want it to be simple, I need to be with someone who wants to plan to stay home with me. Love is to be saved and that’s magic.’

‘I want my whole life, and everything I sing, to be the positive result of something. I believe in magic because, to me, it means being optimistic, having hope, and being able to share it.’

Lana recently broke her silence following her whirlwind wedding.

She said: ‘Jeremy is the one and only. And amazing. And we’re very happy.’
