Fans have been working tirelessly to decode the signs of trouble in paradise that preceded Zach Bryan’s Instagram post announcing his breakup from girlfriend Brianna Chickenfry on October 22.
But now Brianna — real name: Brianna LaPaglia — is spilling some tea about one of her ex’s recent hit songs.
Brianna’s BFFs podcast co-host Dave Portnoy first went public with the alleged connection with the release of his diss track about Bryan, which was provocatively тιтled Country Diddy.
‘Say you hate Grace that you’re nothing alike,’ Portnoy raps, referring to Brianna’s Plan Bri Uncut podcast co-host Grace O’Malley. ‘Then the song Pink Skies is based on her life?”’
Brianna explained that the song was allegedly about her friend Grace in response to a fan’s request for clarification.

She claimed in a reply on social media that Zach was inspired to write the song because she ‘forced him to go to [Grace’s] grandmas funeral.’
Brianna stated that Zach ‘screamed at me then wrote it that night.’
The country superstar has stayed mostly mum about the inspiration behind Pink Skies after releasing the song in May as the first single from his album The Great American Bar Scene, which was released on July 4 of this year.
The LP went on to peak at number two on the Billboard 200 albums chart, while top the country albums charts.
The single Pink Skies was also a success, reaching number six on the Billboard H๏τ 100 singles chart and topping the US H๏τ Rock & Alternative Songs chart and reaching number three on the US H๏τ Country Songs chart.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Zach wrote that the song ‘wasn’t inspired by my story.’
‘Everytime I sing about someone dying people ᴀssume it’s about my mom, this definitely was not,’ he wrote, referencing his mother Annette’s death in 2016. ‘I just think all the dynamics in families are beautiful and interesting and generationally it’s a really cool thing.’
Following Brianna’s break-up with Zach, which she said left her ‘blindsided,’ fans began to wonder if she might be feuding with her longtime friend and co-host Grace, as the two had barely communicated publicly online in weeks.
However, Brianna shut down the rumors late last month, explaining that she had been in touch with Grace privately because she was trying to stay off social media, as she was having difficulty adapting to her shock split.
‘Me and Grace will always be fine,’ she said, before claiming that her ex had mistreated her friends by screaming at them, which she claimed had been preserved on video.

Brianna said the breakup had blindsided her. She clarified to fans that she and Grace had not had a falling out amid concerns that they had taken millions from Zach to allegedly not speak about the relationship
The podcast host, who has described her ex-boyfriend as ’emotionally abusive,’ claimed last week on her show that Zach had offered her a $12 million payment in exchange for her agreeing not to speak about their relationship and breakup.
Grace was also subject to the same rumors that she had allegedly accepted a mᴀssive payment in exchange for signing an NDA about her interactions with Zach.
However, she denied the rumors in a since-expired Instagram Stories post from over the weekend.
‘I wish I didn’t even have to say this but there is no world where I would EVER take money from that clown to shut me up,’ she wrote. ‘It’s been quite the year & I’m still not ready to talk about it (online) ‘m just happy Bri is free from that piece of s***. That’s all for now.’
Dave Portnoy presented a new dig for Zach Bryan in his latest diss track ‘Country Diddy.’
The Barstool Sports chief launched the attack on Bryan this past week in defense of his BFF’s Podcast co-host Brianna Chickenfry after she was ‘blindsided’ by the singer’s decision to publicly announce their breakup.
After his initial diss track ‘Smallest Man’ got taken down when Bryan’s record label – Warner Music – raised copyright claims, Portnoy released the new record on Sunday night.
The BFF’s YouTube channel premiered the song with a lyric video. The backdrop for the lyrics was an animated old western town with a bank building on the right and a Lego cowboy holding a guitar and an NDA – presumably portraying Bryan.
Bryan’s alleged use of NDAs was immediately brought up in the track with the hook, sung by a female singer, singing ‘All these NDAs, you sound like a country Diddy.’

Portnoy then flamed Bryan for paying hush money, claiming Chickenfry turned down the offer and that no amount of cash can shut him up while backing his co-host.
‘Offered Bri $13mil just to shut her trap/Then she turned around and said ‘shove it up your a**,’ he raps in the first verse.
‘I’m the one problem you can’t pay to go away,’ he added later.
‘I hate you with a pᴀssion, Zach, violently/And no amount of Bribery can silence me,’ he continues in the second verse.
Portnoy also referenced how he claimed the country singer mistreated his dog, Miss Peaches.
‘Even Miss Peaches says she can smell the b**** in you,’ he raps.
Bryan and Chickenfry were romantically involved from the summer of 2023 until last month when the blindsiding happened.
Portnoy recorded and released ‘Smallest Man’ with Barstool personality Josh Richards, which ripped Bryan over his hairline, height, a 2023 arrest as well as allegations of infidelity and Sєxually transmitted diseases.
On Thursday, Portnoy revealed a new twist in the escalating feud, explaining that the song was taken down because Richards is also signed with the label and they essentially ‘own him.’

In Bryan’s ‘blindsiding’ post, he praised Brianna for loving him ‘unconditionally’
Portnoy then foreshadowed the second diss track he vowed to return in a fresh attack from the booth – even hinting Chickenfry might join him.
‘Fine, you think that’s just it? You think we’re going to just put ‘Smallest Man’ away? I will write 10,000 diss tracks,’ a shirtless Portnoy said in a video shared to X. ‘I will go do die in the booth. I will put the headsets on and come back spitting bars twice as H๏τ.
‘Maybe we do ‘Dave’s version’ — I hear Bri may get in the booth and do her version. We will figure this s*** out. [It] may take 24 hours, but the more Warner Music Group acts like little f***ing p—–s and Zach Bryan little f***ing p**s.
‘…. The more they worry about this s*** the worse it’s going to get. You’re in the mud. You got me mad I’m gonna have to get in the booth. I thought it was going to be one and done. I don’t care. I’ll keep spitting.’
