Macaulay Culkin’s Hollywood renaissance is in full swing as he signs on for another high-profile TV series following his acclaimed performance on American Horror Story.
The 44-year-old Home Alone star has joined the cast of Fallout in a recurring role for its second season on Prime Video.
While details about Culkin’s character are still under wraps, ᴅᴇᴀᴅline, which first reported the news on Wednesday, described the role as a ‘crazy genius type.’
Fallout, based on the popular video game series and set 200 years after a nuclear apocalypse, earned an impressive 16 Emmy nominations in its debut season, including Outstanding Drama Series.
The show’s ensemble cast includes Ella Purnell as Lucy, Aaron Moten as Maximus, Walton Goggins as the Ghoul, along with Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, and Sarita Choudhury.

The official description states it follows ‘the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters that are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.’
Amazon reported that the series drew in 65 million viewers within its first 16 days after the entire first season was released on April 10.
Culkin’s recent projects include voicing a character in The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy, multiple episodes of The Righteous Gemstones, and a memorable role in American Horror Story: Double Feature.
The casting news comes after Macaulay and fiancée Brenda Song enjoyed a rare night out at the Academy Museum Gala last month.
The couple, who share two sons Dakota, three, and Carson, 22-months, looked in good spirits as they posed for pH๏τos ahead of the event.
Macaulay and Brenda — who both began their acting careers at a young age — first met on the set of Changeland in June of 2017. The month after, they went on a double-date and have been together ever since.
They welcomed their first child together, Dakota, on April 5, 2021. He was named after the Richie Rich actor’s late sister who pᴀssed in 2008 of a tragic car accident.

Neither Macaulay and Brenda have announced any wedding plans, but when he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in late 2023, he opened up about his loving bride-to-be.
