Logline

Years after dinosaurs spread across the globe, humanity’s desperate attempt to coexist collapses when a new genetically awakened apex species threatens both humans and dinosaurs alike. To stop a second extinction event, a team of scientists and survivors must return to the island where it all began—Isla Nublar—now reborn into something unrecognizable.

Plot Summary

A Changed World

It has been several years since dinosaurs escaped into the modern world. Some regions adapt; others fall into chaos. Governments establish Dinosaur Free Zones while black-market breeders create new hybrids.

Dr. Ellie Sattler warns that global ecosystems are reaching a breaking point.

Meanwhile, reports emerge of a terrifying new creature attacking both humans and dinosaurs in remote areas. Survivors describe it only as:

“The Ghost.”

A New Threat

Dr. Lewis Dodgson’s old research is discovered in a destroyed Biosyn facility. Among the files is a classified project: REVENANT, a hybrid dinosaur engineered not for profit—but for eradication. It was designed to hunt any species that threatens ecological balance.

But the prototype escaped, evolved, and is now reproducing asexually.

This apex predator feeds on competition.
Its goal: become the dominant lifeform on Earth.

The Team

To stop it, governments bring together:

• Owen Grady – expert tracker
• Claire Dearing – ethical adviser and dinosaur rights advocate
• Dr. Alan Grant – Paleontologist
• Dr. Ellie Sattler – Environmental scientist
• Dr. Ian Malcolm – Chaos theorist
• Maisie Lockwood – whose unique DNA may be key to shutting down the REVENANT genome

Maisie discovers the creature is heading toward a nesting site—located at the ruins of Isla Nublar, untouched since its destruction. Something is drawing it home.

Return to Isla Nublar

The island has transformed into a wild, overgrown sanctuary where dinosaurs rule freely. But something is terribly wrong:

• Herbivores avoid certain valleys
• Apex predators flee from invisible territories
• Strange skeletons appear, completely stripped of flesh

The ecosystem has been taken over by the REVENANT species.

Climax

Deep within the ruins of the old Jurassic Park Visitor Center, the team finds the REVENANT queen preparing to release a pheromone that will wipe out competing dinosaurs worldwide.

They must destroy the nest without triggering a reaction that could spread the pheromone prematurely.

Owen and Grant lure the queen into a collapsing raptor enclosure. Claire and Maisie work to disable the genetic transmitter inside the nest.

A massive three-way battle erupts between:
the REVENANT queen,
a pack of raptors, and
a wounded but still fearsome T-Rex.

In a brutal final moment, the T-Rex delivers the killing blow—reclaiming its role as apex predator—before collapsing from its injuries.

The nest is destroyed in a fiery explosion beneath the original park gates.

Ending

Humanity begins rebuilding, establishing protected zones where dinosaurs and humans can survive separately.

Ellie notes that life didn’t just find a way…
Life found many ways—and humanity must now adapt with them.

The final scene shows a hidden cavern beneath Nublar:
A clutch of untouched REVENANT eggs begins to stir.
