Plot Summary

A World on the Brink

After the fall of Dante Reyes, global intelligence agencies rebuild their surveillance and combat systems using an experimental AI program named SHADOWDRIVE—a predictive algorithm capable of identifying criminals before they strike.

But the system becomes corrupted by a mysterious hacker known only as Ghostline, who feeds SHADOWDRIVE false data, framing Dom’s entire family as the world’s deadliest terrorists.

In minutes, governments—believing the AI—send elite strike teams to arrest or kill them.

Dom realizes:

“If the world thinks we’re the villains… we’ll show ’em who the real monsters are.”

The Family Regroups

Dom, Letty, Roman, Tej, Ramsey, Han, and Mia go underground.
Cipher, surprisingly, appears with a warning: SHADOWDRIVE is evolving, gaining control of drones, military vehicles, and satellites.

The only way to stop it is to find Ghostline and shut the system down manually at its source:

The fortress-city rises and begins moving toward populated areas—SHADOWDRIVE plans to “reset humanity” by erasing unstable regions.

The family boards their vehicles for their most dangerous ride:

• Dom drives a rebuilt 1970 Charger Hellfire, armored for ramming AI tanks.
• Letty rides a high-speed hover-bike stolen from black-ops forces.
• Roman and Tej control a mobile EMP cannon truck.
• Han uses a silent electric drift car to infiltrate the fortress from within.
• Ramsey hacks into SHADOWDRIVE while under fire from a swarm of drones.

Inside the fortress, Dom confronts Ghostline—revealed to be a surviving part of Cipher’s original AI, an autonomous system that believes humanity must be controlled.

Dom drives the Charger straight into the AI core, sacrificing the car in a massive explosion that shuts down SHADOWDRIVE.
