Plot Summary

A New Discovery

It’s been over a decade since Rick and Evelyn O’Connell fought their last supernatural threat. Now retired and living quietly in England, they try to enjoy a peaceful life—until their son Alex unearths a forbidden relic beneath the ruins of Tanis:
The Heart of Ma’at, an artifact said to control the balance of time.

Unknown to Alex, removing the relic awakens Nekhmet, an ancient priest-king executed for attempting to rewrite fate itself using forbidden magic.

Nekhmet rises with a terrifying new power: the ability to reverse or accelerate time around living beings—aging them to dust or reducing them back into violent, instinct-driven forms.

The O’Connells Return to the Fight

After Alex’s excavation team disappears, strange time distortions begin to spread across Egypt. Evelyn deciphers a prophecy revealing that if Nekhmet restores the Heart of Ma’at to the Pyramid of Eternity, he can collapse time into a single moment and resurrect his lost empire—overwriting all of human history.

Rick, Evelyn, Alex, and the always-reluctant Jonathan race to Egypt, where they once again join forces with Ardeth Bay and the Medjai warriors.

The Villain’s Plan

Nekhmet gathers a massive army of time-warped mummies—some frozen in youth, others twisted into ancient, skeletal forms. Each carries fragments of different eras, creating a chaotic, unstoppable force.

He intends to reverse time to the moment before his death, creating an eternal loop in which he rules forever.

Climax

Inside the Pyramid of Eternity—an enormous, shifting labyrinth where hallways move like clock gears—Rick and Ardeth battle the mummy army while Evelyn and Alex try to break the time spell.

Alex confronts Nekhmet, who reveals that he has seen Alex’s future: a future where Alex becomes a powerful archaeologist who accidentally unleashes even greater evils.
He offers Alex a place at his side in a rewritten world.

Rick arrives just in time, and father and son fight together against Nekhmet in a swirling vortex of collapsing timelines. Moments from their past adventures flash around them—Imhotep, the Scorpion King, the Book of the Dead—everything blending into chaos.

Evelyn activates the Heart of Ma’at, causing time to snap back into balance. Nekhmet disintegrates, aging into dust.

Ending

The O’Connell family escapes as the pyramid implodes. Egypt returns to normal, and the timeline stabilizes.

Back home, Evelyn discovers new inscriptions on the Heart of Ma’at—ones that were not there before—hinting at another hidden threat buried far deeper than Egypt.

The final shot:
A tomb door in Peru cracks open as a shadowy figure rises, whispering ancient words…

“The cycle… begins again.”
