A 2-YEAR-OLD’S BATTLE NO FAMILY IS EVER READY FOR 💔👶

Katelyn, lovingly known as “Baby Kate,” is only two years old — an age meant for laughter, play, and discovering the world. But instead of playgrounds and bedtime stories, her days are now filled with hospital rooms, treatments, and uncertainty 🏥💔

What began as what seemed like a simple flu quickly turned into devastating news for her parents, Kelly and Dave Matteson. Their little girl was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) — a serious and aggressive form of cancer that no child should ever have to face 😢

Since then, life has changed completely. Katelyn is now in the hospital, beginning chemotherapy and preparing for a long and difficult journey ahead. The road forward is filled with tests, treatments, and days that feel heavier than most families could imagine 💔

Kelly, who works as a nurse caring for others, has stepped away from her job to stay by her daughter’s side. Dave has also put everything on hold, balancing time between the hospital, their home, their worried 4-year-old daughter Kasey, and their family dog Sammy. Together, they are doing everything they can to stay strong in the face of overwhelming uncertainty 🤍
