Annabelle’s story began with unexpected fear.

Although she was born full-term, everything changed in the moments after her arrival. During delivery, she inhaled amniotic fluid — a complication that quickly affected her ability to breathe on her own. What should have been a joyful first cry became a race against time, as doctors worked urgently to stabilize her oxygen levels. 🏥

Instead of going home, Annabelle was placed in the Newborn Special Care Nursery, where she would spend the first two weeks of her life.

For her mother, Brooklyn, those days were filled with anxiety, uncertainty, and hope. Watching her newborn connected to machines, relying on medical support, was something no parent is ever truly prepared for. Each day brought small victories, but also constant worry about what might come next.
