Hi, I’m Paula… and this is the story I never thought I would have to tell.

Not long ago, my life felt normal. I had plans, dreams, and a future I was excited about. But slowly, things began to change. I felt tired all the time. Dizzy. Weak. I told myself it was just stress, just life catching up with me.

I was wrong.

One hospital visit… one series of tests… and suddenly, everything stopped.

Leukemia. 💔

That word echoed in my mind like a nightmare I couldn’t wake up from. In that moment, the world felt smaller, colder… and I felt completely lost. Everything I had planned seemed to disappear in an instant.

The days that followed weren’t easy. Fear became a constant companion. Every test, every treatment, every quiet moment brought new waves of anxiety. And then came one of the hardest moments—shaving my head.

To some, it might seem like just hair. But to me, it was a symbol of everything I was losing… and everything I would have to fight to get back. I looked in the mirror, tears falling, barely recognizing the person staring back at me.

But even in that darkness, I found something unexpected.

Faith. 🙏

A quiet, powerful belief that even when I feel broken, I am not alone. That somehow, through all this pain, there is still hope waiting for me.

So I picked up a sign and wrote the words my heart needed to say:
“I HAVE LEUKEMIA, BUT GOD BLESSES ME. WILL YOU LEAVE ME YOUR AMEN?”

This isn’t just a sentence. It’s my lifeline.

Every “Amen,” every prayer, every kind thought—it reminds me that I’m not fighting this battle alone. It gives me strength on the days I feel like giving up.

I’m still Paula. I’m still here. And I’m fighting with everything I have.
