“Too Soon for Justice?”: Killer of 6-Year-Old Boy Released Early, Sparking Outrage and Grief

A tragic and deeply disturbing case from Kentucky has resurfaced, igniting anger and heartbreak after the early release of a man responsible for the brutal death of a 6-year-old boy.

In 2015, Ronald Exantus broke into the home of the Tipton family and carried out a horrifying attack on young Logan. The child was stabbed multiple times, primarily in the head, in an act described as so violent that the butcher knife used in the attack reportedly bent under the force.

The crime shocked the community and left Logan’s family devastated beyond words.

In 2018, Exantus was sentenced to 20 years in prison but was ultimately found not guilty by reason of insanity. Despite the severity of the crime, he has now been released after serving just 10 years, reportedly due to good behavior while incarcerated.

The decision has sparked outrage, particularly from Logan’s father, who continues to grapple with the unbearable loss. In a statement filled with grief and anger, he said, “If I ever cross paths with him, I will kill the man. I will kill him right where he stands.”

While authorities maintain that the release followed legal procedures tied to his mental health status, many are questioning whether justice has truly been served.

For Logan’s family, the pain remains as raw as ever. The early release has reopened wounds that never fully healed, serving as a painful reminder of a life taken far too soon — and a justice system that, to them, feels painfully incomplete.
