In a massive nationwide strike, joint task forces from the FBI and the DEA have dismantled what officials describe as a powerful cartel-controlled trucking empire used to move drugs and cash across the United States.

According to federal briefings, the coordinated raids resulted in 273 arrests and the seizure of more than 52 tons of suspected methamphetamine, cutting off one of the cartel’s primary supply pipelines.

Investigators say the criminal organization operated a seemingly legitimate transportation network, using registered freight companies, commercial drivers, and warehouse hubs to disguise large-scale drug shipments.

Authorities also confiscated an estimated 250 tractor-trailers and transport vehicles, along with dispatch systems, route logs, GPS trackers, and encrypted communications used to manage deliveries and avoid law-enforcement checkpoints.

Financial crime units revealed that the trucking empire was also a key tool for money laundering, allowing traffickers to blend illegal profits into payroll systems, fuel contracts, and equipment leasing deals.

Federal officials describe the operation as a decisive blow to cartel infrastructure inside the U.S. — not just removing drugs from the streets, but crippling the logistics backbone that kept the network alive.

Authorities stress that all suspects are presumed innocent until formally charged, and the investigation remains active as more targets are identified.
