TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. — A profound silence has fallen over the community of Tumbler Ridge as residents grapple with the aftermath of a senseless act of violence that has claimed eight innocent lives and left approximately 27 others injured.

The tragedy, which spanned two locations—a local residence and a school—has shattered the tight-knit town, leaving families and neighbors mourning the loss of children, a mother, and a beloved teacher.

A Community in Mourning Authorities have now identified the victims of the attack. The violence reportedly began at a nearby home, where the shooter’s own family members were killed, before moving to the school, where students and staff were targeted.
