Convicted Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell invoked her Fifth Amendment right during a House Oversight Committee deposition, with her attorney saying she will only answer questions if President Trump grants clemency.

Her lawyer, David Oscar Markus, claimed Maxwell alone can provide a full account of events and insisted both Trump and Bill Clinton are innocent of wrongdoing. Committee Chair James Comer pushed back, saying Maxwell should not receive clemency and calling her refusal to testify a lost opportunity for the investigation. Rep. Ro Khanna went further, demanding Maxwell be returned to maximum-security confinement.
